What are you going to do will all your down time? I know.... you are going to race cross.

First off Brad, that's a road bike. There are differences between a cross bike and a road bike. Ask your coach he will probably be able to explain the difference. If not, just go ride around in circles on one of those funny bikes will no gears and no brakes.
